The number of passengers is mainly counted by automatic systems on vehicles occasionally complemented by manual counts conducted by the party's personnel. Subsequently, the collected data must be consolidated and processed to ensure accurate figures for each trip.
The objective of this initiative was to specify, tender and implement a system for the supplementary recording, verification, consolidation, and evaluation of passenger count data across all recorded journeys.
